That slight drop towards end of trading on friday wasnt great, but Monday should be interesting. I would not be surprised with a slight drop early part of week with above 0.3 towards end of next week.

Thomas Becket, manager of the new Psigma Balanced Managed fund, which is going to be heavy in biotech, likes Britain’s Synergy. It provides sterilisation services and is setting up a facility in the eastern Chinese city of Suzhou. It also increased profits before tax by 48% to £25m this year — pretty good going when earnings from most sectors are heading south.

poor = statments in the accounts pointing to future problems. Forget the numbers, no-one gives a monkeys in these markets, read the "poor" statements about the future prospects. IMO - wait for the accounts (a long wait) and read them. You will have to do this after the market reacts (down) so will know you are looking for a negative. easy really......

No he didn't cut a corner to overtake, he was forced wide by Raikonan, and had to use the run off to avoid a collision, he rejoined the track slightly ahead - but allowed Raikkonan to then overtake him - so there was no advantage taken. Plus, when he was forced wide he was slightly ahead. So where's the violation?

OC, For the record Sola fell to 210p or so AFTER its Nasdaq listing in January - I remember going on holiday near the end of March worrying like hell if it would drop much below 200p. It turned that week and began the climb to 750p after 1st quarter results. Share prices on the Nasdaq solar sector are so incredibly volatile that I'd much prefer a Hang Seng listing for RCG.

Viking1066 As far as I can make out from the graphs, historically seasonal peaks in oil price occur around February so why the heck should it be in October this time? Unless politics is coming into the equation again.

thehairydagger True, never put all eggs into one basket, but at least 5 different BS offer 6.5% Troll_Detective I agree "(next administration's) problem", crazy that politics should play a part in a financial decision. Poor government regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac is to blame in the first place.

This quote also explains volatility. “ All through time, people have basically acted and reacted the same way in the market as a result of: greed, fear, ignorance, and hope. That is why the numerical formations and patterns recur on a constant basis. ” —Jesse Livermore, How To Trade In Stocks
