FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - ThyssenKrupp AG. is interested in acquiring
Serbia's copper-maker RTB, media reports in the country said.
The reports said the country's economy minister Mladjan Dinkic has announced
talks have been set for May 25 with the German steelmaker.
ThyssenKrupp was not immediately available for comment.
The government in early April vowed to cancel a contract on the sale of RTB
to Austria's A-Tec Industries AG. after the industrial conglomerate failed to
meet a payment deadline and asked for more time.
A sale to SMR of Russian investor Oleg Deripaska also fell through last
week.
